What color tattoo ink shows well on brown skin?

I want to get a tattoo of the Sublime sun ex: http://s3.amazonaws.com/hottopic_shockho… and then another tattoo that symbolizes overcoming something traumatic but i don't want to get it in black or green ink. I want it to be colorful.

I'm not that dark. I have the same complexion/color as meagan good (ex: http://media.photobucket.com/image/meaga… &

So, do you think my skin will reject light colors?

well outlining in black is always good. and oranges and yellows are nice and bright. with tattoos it doesn't really matter much what your skin color is because it breaks into your skin. it will show up no matter what. colors however fade more quickly then black does.
good luck!

I think I'm about the same shade as you, and I have a couple of tattoos, one in black which shows up very well and one in blues, greens and white, all of which show up very well even when I have a tan.

the lighter the colors you choose the harder it will be for them to show up through your skin. the color you actually see is what has made it through the layers of your skin to be visible to the eye. So you need to choose darker colors. reds, blue, purples, it will be difficult to see yellows on your skin color, orange would be hard to see, you could do pinks, greens. but stay away from orange and yellow, as a main color, for highlighting or a small detail it would be fine to use yellow and oranges.

that skin is light enough to show any ink but keep in mind who you are is a big part my skin rejects color almost as quick as it heals i have to stick to just black and i am as white as they come
