Should a Tall, Solidly-Built Female Intern Wear Heels?

We just hired a solidly-built inten for the summer who stands almost 5'10" in bare feet. The second day, asked if her heels were OK for a 2-hour walkaround of our property, she told us she always wears heels. This improves her appearance by accentuating the vertical, but the 2-1/2" or more heels she chooses make her at least 6 feet tall, slightly taller than her male boss. Wearing flats, she'd be slightly shorter than him. She's not exactly model material, and is somewhat direct in her manner, an effect accentuated by her build.

Do you think it's a good idea for this intern to continue wearing high heels?

Haha, well you're clearly intimidated by her so it looks as though she's doing something right. Are you worried she's going to take your job?

Well I think she can wear whatever she wants in the end - but if this boss has some power issues then she may be pushing her luck which could result in not being hired after the internship (if that's what she is looking to do). I'd suggest not wearing them to be safe (I'm not sure why a taller woman would rather wear heels anyways? I thought woman found them uncomfortable...). Regardless, any little thing could make or break a job - it's all in the hands of the boss and whether it's right or not appearances do matter!

Hey! If she can stand to walk around in heels for hours she should be free to do so!

You aren't really going to tell a woman she can't wear a basic female clothing item because of how she is built are you? That would be asking for big trouble!

she can wear what she wants, not her fault your boss isn't tall.

I have to say that is this day and age of female enlightenment, with teenage girls starving themselves into infertility and shortened life-spans for the sake of attracting boys who don't care..with women of every age having everything nipped and tucked, lifted, enlarged and poisoned into rigidity for fear of not hanging on to the man who does not love them at all and who will trade for a younger looking female at the drop of a buttock..I am astonished that there is one left who will wear heels when you, clearly a man, do not like to do so! What can she be thinking of? And on top of this, to dare to be taller than her boss...so humiliating for him, poor man! He is probably ending each day in tears of impotent rage and self disgust; next thing you know he will be dangling by his ankles from a door frame trying to stretch himself back into self-respect!

Your boss actually knew who he was employing and may actually be a little more mature than you give him credit for, in the meantime none of this is any of your business and if it were then yu would be a disgrace to your employer!
