How long does it take for hair to grow back?

I got mine cut really short. Apparently the lady doing my hair didn't listen so she gave me a cut instead of a trim and made it really short and I really hate it. So how long will it take for my hair to grow back again?
It's at my underarm and I want it to grow to be about at my waist again.

It grows about 1/2 an inch a month but to make it grow faster massage your head everyday in the shower and in the summer it grows faster because of warm weather

well if your hair healthy and normal it should grow 6in a year. thats 1 inch every 2 months.so it should take about 2 years to get it back to your waist

sorry about ur hair, and it depends how healthy you are as a person. if you are really unhealthy and eat junk food then it will take a few years but if you have a good diet then a few months, the average persons hair grows 1/2 inch every month or it could grow a little slower like mine grows 1/4 inch every month just depends, good luck
