Make sure your tattoo artist has the same Hygiene as a doctor. Using fresh needles, washing his hands, wearing gloves. Also you could ask to see his awards, most tattoo artists that are any good at all have won at least a couple awards. If the place is empty it's a good sign that they suck, and you might want to change shops.

depending on your pain everyone is different the needles go into the skin and disperse ink in layers under the skin it is normal to bleed so dont freak out so much and if you have to take a break tell the artist you need one watch it on youtube first.

tattoos are done with needles.these needles have a little "hole" that disperses the ink. The needles are also attached to a little motor that causes is to move in and out of the skin at a rate of 3000 times per minute. It only goes into the top layer of your skin call the dermis. depending on where you get them, its said, the different the pain will be. A tattoo is also just made up of tons of little needle pricks/dots. Don't worry, when your finished you won't be able to tell!

Hope your ink turns out good!

Tattoo's are permanent ink that stains the first layer of your skin. It is a needle that has a hole in it, like a tube, where the ink comes through. The motor connected to the needle is what deposits the ink and keeps it going. Contact a dermatologist (a skin doctor) before you get one, though, because it can hurt depending on your body. Your skin type, the tattoo and where you are getting it can hurt. Places that will hurt if you have a tattoo there is the wrist, neck, and back of knee. I'm sure there's more, but I would contact that dermatologist first. It's just tiny, tiny tiny, dots that are spritzed out by the needle, but they are so close together that you won't notice. Hope your tattoo turns out great!

Go on youtube and watch a video of a tattoo being made. You should look into it before you do it. It can be very painful depending on what part of your body you get it on.
