I haven't got mine done, but there was a phase at my school, where everyone was getting their's done.
And well, for some people it really, really hurt them.. and for some it made them bleed so much.
But for some others, it didn't really hurt them, so it kind of really depends on what pain you can handle and can't.

Hopefully it will be agony!

i just got mine done, actually- getting it done, the clamps hurt a little & the actual needle feels like biting your tongue, after wards hurts a little & its difficult to eat & you will have a temporary lisp . all of those things will go away within 3-4 days max, but dont change your ring for about three weeks . i tryed that & my tongue swelled up & it was just really bad . but its fun to look at & fun to play with, so i hope you get it ! good luck :)

Surprisingly no. It throbs a bit after but if you take ibuprofen it's fine.

I had mine done a couple of years ago and honestly, it didn't hurt at all while it was being pierced. The needle slides straight through, and I didn't even realise that it had been done! The only discomfort I felt was when they pushed the jewellery through, and obviously eating afterwards! Nothing a little ibuprofen can't sort!

It's definitely uncomfortable, but it's not really what i would consider pain. Since your tongue is a pretty thick muscle, it's going to hurt more than your monroe and belly button but honestly it's nothing that you can't take! :D
It hurts a lot more afterwards when it's swollen and you accidentally bite on it =/
and if you eat/drink something that irritates it. but the piercing itself is fineee! :D

piercing doesn't hurt, except your ego when you realize the whole personal expression thing goes out the window when you 've done the exact same personal expression as everyone else and find out how silly it is...

It hurts quite a bit because the piercing is going through muscle instead of regular tissue like other piercings. Thus it hurts a lot more.

I don't have a high pain tolerance and i have mine done and it didn't hurt at all it is just a bit sore for about 2-3 days and swollen but after that it doesn't hurt
