im getting them soon and my hair is a little layered, but its long also.
im getting extensions cause i want much longer hair, and im wondering if its best if i get a haircut first?

It really doesnt matter. If you dont want to, then dont.
Just make sure you know what youre doing, because it'll look bad if you do them wrong.
